The transition starts now and will be fully complete by 1st April 2025.
The Journey from an Idea to a Movement
The journey didn’t start as a business venture. Christian just wanted a ceramic grill, but the price tag was steep. So, he imported 10 off-the-shelf Kamado grills, planning to sell 9 and keep the 10th for free.
But life had other plans.
2019 - Christian was hit with an unexpected layoff—his lowest point. But when the going gets tough, the tough get going. With his redundancy payout, he took a massive risk, buying Kamado grills in bulk. His bedroom became the HQ, his garage the warehouse, and the hustle began.
2020 - We officially incorporated and launched our first bulk shipment of Kamado grills. The website went live, and the business was officially in the game.
2021 - We took the next step—moving into our first warehouse, scaling operations, and growing our customer base.
2022 - We doubled down on innovation. The Kamado grill has been around for 3,000 years, but we saw a gap—modern design, built for real users. We launched the best-selling V2 Kamado, proving that innovation and tradition can go hand in hand.
2023 - We levelled up again, launching our dealer network. Now, Kama Gear is stocked in some of the largest BBQ stores across the UK, with plans to expand into Spain and Germany.
2024, we kept pushing the limits—launching the Kamadough pizza attachment, the Smoke Pot Dutch oven for over-the-top cooking, and expanding our cooking surface range.
2025, it’s time for the next big move:
Why the Change?
Let’s be real—GRDEN had problems.
• Spell-check hated it. Nobody could type it right.
• Google thought we sold garden furniture. Not exactly the look we were going for.
• The .com was taken. Hard to own a name when you can’t even claim it online.
Enter Kama Gear.
This name isn’t just about cooking—it’s about dominating the outdoors. Kama nods to our Kamado roots, and Gear locks in what we’re about: rugged, purpose-built kit for fire, food, and adventure. Whether you’re grilling in the backyard, out in the wild, or setting up for an all-night cookout, our gear is made to handle it.

What will happen with products?
Nothing changes. Nearly all our products have already been rebranded—this started back in 2024. The only items left with GRDEN branding are our smaller cover and cast iron cooking surface.
I’ve just ordered a Kama Gear product. Will it be delivered with Kama Gear or GRDEN branding?
Unless it's our older beige cover or a cast iron cooking surface, it will be Kama Gear branded.
Will Kama Gear products be stocked in the same retailers?
Yes, and our retail network is growing year on year, with plans to enter Europe.
Are there new Kama Gear products in the pipeline?
Yes. Our new House Blend Charcoal and the V2 Max Kamado are launching under Kama Gear.
