Temperature control using the Air Controller
Lock in the right heat from the start—if your Kamado runs too hot, cooling it down takes time.
Fuel matters. Always use high-quality lump charcoal. Our 9kg House Blend is made for steady, reliable burns. Swap charcoals, and you’ll need to dial in your temps all over again—every charcoal burns differently.
Raising the temp? Open the vents little by little and give it time to settle. Too much air too fast, and you’ll be battling to bring it back down.
Need to cool it down? Close the vents bit by bit. Shutting them completely can choke the fire, so go slow. Small tweaks, big impact.
Lid stays shut. Every time you open it, you lose heat and mess with airflow. Keep it closed to hold steady temps.
Kamado cooking ain’t about chasing heat—it’s about control. Get the right charcoal, master the airflow, and let the fire do its thing.
